Raytest in weapons

Hi all!
i am telling honestly i don't know or understand anything about raytest.
I thought this is the place where i can get some idea of it
But i have heard it is very useful in making accurate weapons in sketchyphysics.
So, i have two questions:-
1.What is raytest?
2.How do i use it in weapons like a gun in sketchyphysics ?
I hope any great sp master can explain me .

i kinda think nobody is interested in answering my posts which makes me quite angry and upset!
Well ,a few days back i was playing around with ray-test, trying to figure out what it is ,and i made this!!

"Download file and see for yourself"
the rifle uses ray-test to shoot its targets down!
Controls:
a,d - aim
f - fire

download this file and give me some ways and suggestions to improve it!
(atleast download the file for God's sake)

I think you need to be more precise : What exactly you want to achieve ? What improvements do you want ? etc .

I like this file and I have no idea how you did it, but it works .


Unless you want to do a rendered video or something else(a game?) this is more or less useless (at least for me).


Just wanted to give you a little more encouragement(I know how it is to have no solutions sometimes) even if I don't know how to deal with this kind of stuffs .
