Animating a push-pull

Postby Altab » Fri May 11, 2012 12:37 pm

Hi!

I would like to know if there is any way ( function/ ruby / plugin) that can create an animation for a push pulled box for example , instead of scene

let's say I have a box which is 3m in height and would like to have it in 6m in the final result. I would like to see an animation that reproduce the pushpulling of the 3m diffrence

Hope it's clear.

It's with section tool that you can make that! :ugeek:
Just take a box against a house! :)

if you have sketchup pro, you could do it with a dynamic component and animate the on click function..
(click on the box and it will show the extrusion happen as a smooth animation instead of just jumping from one position to the other)

Thanks

Pilou: that's could be a solution but for massing, I would rather prefer a solid box instead of an empty one. ( as it results from the section )

Jeff: I'm not that keen on dynamic componant...and As I'm a sketchup free version user...

I think I should have named this thread deformation animation.

let say changing the position of the object. from a to b and sketchup could autmaticaly create the intermediary position of the object.
a second example would be: I want to deform a cylinder. in whih the upper cirle change in scale and become bigger than the base.

Another thing : with the plugin Mover :)
(this is Mover 2 : I have made the animation with Mover 0 )

I believe than you can't see the animation if Mover is not installed
