Re: Cinebox: CryEngine for movie making and (I hope) archvizIt will probably NOT be cheaper than Lumion though. More like in the price range 50000 to 100000 dollar. They focus on big studious. But it sure look nice.
Re: Cinebox: CryEngine for movie making and (I hope) archvizWe'll soon find out. It's geared towards a mid-2012 release.
Today, the product manager is going to talk about it in FMX 2012: http://www.fmx.de/program/event-details ... Event.html
Re: Cinebox: CryEngine for movie making and (I hope) archvizI've donwloaded the engine and editing studio and gave it a first try. After seeing a teaser on the web where they show the environment populating procedure I got really excited. That said I don't think It's a good option for interactive walktroughs at this moment. The pricing will be high and the specs needed for a smooth walktrough are to high. Not al customers will have a pc with high enough specs.
I've tried to export a SU model I made of the Ponce House by Mathias Klotz but the export didn't succeed. I think the model was to complex for Playup tools to handle. Any tips or hints on the export workflow between SU and CryEngine 3. Greetz Twan
Re: Cinebox: CryEngine for movie making and (I hope) archvizOne thing that is very good is that with a minor codec tweak you can export very high quality movies. The default isn't that great.
