CatchUp Edition 7

Postby Rich O Brien » Tue Jan 31, 2012 11:32 am

Hi,

As promised we're keeping to our new year's resolution of releasing CatchUp once a month. So what's in this issue?

Firstly, Adriana's returns with 'Interior Lighting in SketchUp' tutorial and Eric Lay shares another Pro tip in Skinning a Cat. We've Mike's Apps and Gadgets reviews plus a review of Game Design for SketchUp and much more.

Also, SketchUcation's Mini Publications continues to grow. Our shelf is now packed with great tutorials and models to examine and learn from. So head on over to books.sketchucation.com to get the full lowdown.

We've also some promotions running throughout February that offer bundle deals from your favourite authors. You can see the promotion here

Special thanks to TomDC for sharing his Kitchen Interior scene for the front cover and we hope you all like the Gallery section we've added in this edition to shawcase some of our member's contributions.

To download the Interactive PDF you can go here

or to view in Flipping Page Format online you can go here

Nice work, and interesting reading (as always) ...

One question, did you intend to leave interactive form fields turned on in this edition? When I mouse over one and click, I get a windows popup:
Code: Select all
The document is trying to connect to the site:
$$$/Dialog/Behaviors/GoToView/DefaultURL
If you trust the site click "Yes", otherwise click "No".

Clicking yes of course doesn't take you anywhere as "$$$" is not a valid URL.
I'm using Firefox 9.0.1 with the FoxIt reader plugin 3.1.4.1125 under WinXP 64 if you need the information.

Cheers!

Hi Rich ... page 42, the large graphic and the smaller Twitter on the bottom have the problem

Cheers

Rich -- The publication keeps getting better and better. The gallery section is a great addition and I feel very honored to have been included.

Also -- Do you know where I can buy a copy of Hellnbak's "Munster Koach"? I can only afford to spend about $13.99. :sketchstatic:
