Hi all,

Here is an update (major revision) of my projection toolbar.
What's new:
· More user-friendly commands: click points instead of selecting objects for plane definitions and vectors
· Better selection errors checkings
· Project faces along Z and along vector gathered in one command.
· ExtrudelineTool included
· lines2cyl and credits commands suppressed
· Construction line at intersection of faces enhanced: multiple selection supported
· New icons
· PDF doc included

Thank you Didier - your toolbar has been a great friend in the past - i'm looking forward to see the changes. :D

EDIT: had a look at the new script (though i still have to read the doc)

one question - how feasible to add 'project lines' along red/green?

i am thinking of using it to extrude lines and have them intersect faces - very useful/quick when working with cad files

Hi cadFather,
I'm afraid I don't understand 'project lines along red/green' ?
Using "project lines along vector" would not do the trick ?
Please explain it to my tired brain...

for some reason i can't upload an image - the tool i have in mind is the project along z
- i was thinking of a keyboard shortcut which quickly projects lines along one of the other axis. to be sure the vector one works so don't worry about it...take a good rest
(if you can)..

Thanks

hallo Didier,

I installed the "projection toolbar", it works fine, BUT now the right mouse button doesn´t work how it should: when I activate an object and klick the right mouse button (to call the context-menu), the object is not active any longer.

I use SU6free on MacOSX - I´ve tried it with a 3 button mouse and a Wacom tablett -> same problem

didier,

what can i say? u da man!!! one more fantastic script that will boost everyone's productivity.

i tried all the tools and they worked perfectly on my mac running OS 10.4.11.

regards and thank you once more.

p.s.: would it be at all possible to control the distance between the two points needed to extrude lines along a vector via VCB?

Hi Edson,

would it be at all possible to control the distance between the two points needed to extrude lines along a vector via VCB?

You can make it work this way, or did I forget something ?
Click a first point somewhere, drag the mouse in the direction you want the vector to be, then enter a number in the VCB. :)
PS: multiwalltool tuto not forgotten ;)

J'ai "fr_projection_extension" et "projection_extension". Donc je vire "projection_extension". C'est bien ça?

EDIT : C'est fait mais j'ai perdu les 4 derniers icones de la barre qui n'étaient pas en double.

I posted, then thought I found the answer, then deleted, then thought I don't have the answer.. :?

Which version is newer: V6 at the first post here, or V2 found at the plugins index of the site linked from the last post here? -

This is a great plugin!
Anyway it would come extremely handy, if it were able to project multiple points at once onto a given surface.
Though I have no idea how complicated it would be to modify the script accordingly, to me this would be of great value!

Best regards!
