Depends on how you extracted it. Macs tend to create an extra folder when extreating - the files you need would be inside the first one. (note - this depend on how you extracted it.)

Does it possible with your plug to generate "streets" with no round Corners?
here 0.01 as corner radius (Why not 0 possible) 90° as Angle threshold
PS Are you interested by a little French translation of your Plug's UI?

Set Angle Threshold to 180 degrees (or more). Pilou wrote:PS Are you interested by a little French translation of your Plug's UI?
In the future, yes. But as it is now - this plugin is experimental and many things will change. (When I get around to work on it again.)

As it is now - it does no error checking at all. But you're right - it's something that'd be nice if it did.

I'm still stumped as to where to put the plug-ins on CityGen and StreetGen. To keep my SU7 from crashing, I had to make a City_Gen folder and nothing comes up. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
Footnote: When I put the city_gen.rb file in Plug-ins, after clicking in to SU7, I get a crash leading to a bug repot. If only I can find out what the problem is.

The plug-in is not really ready for use, but I made a Windows installer for the current version. See the Downloads tab: http://code.google.com/p/citygen/Note: both the plugin and the installer should be considered experimental. Let me know if it works.

The Core:
citygen folder city_gen_loader.rb These goes into the plugins folder.
Street Gen
street_gen folder street_gen.rb These goes into plugins/citygen/modules/
I don't know why any of these would be causing crashes. I've not experienced it myself.

Thanks, thomthom et. al. I managed to get it running smoothly. What I did was searching through Google and there was an Alpha installer of CityGen, but it froze my SU -- but (d'uh on my part ), I "forgot" to put the city_gen loader.rb in the plugin, the CityGen in the Citygen folder and the streetGen in the modules your stated... To make a long story short - it was a real bumpy ride, no pun intended. Thanks guys for all your help. I'll keep playing with this feature.

Yes, I did do that, and what I did I installed it, but it was the old version, and I had to uninstall it. And used thomthom's zip files. Thank you jim.

Hi Guys, I've been trying to make time to spend playing with this plugin so I loaded it and intend to give it a whirl ovber the weekend... a few things: I loaded it OK but not really sure how you are assigning color to lines: is that by material or layer? Also, when I run the plugin the dialogue activates and goes blank. [see attached screen shot] Looking forward to giving it a run!!

No - not what browser you use, what Internet Explorer version is installed? SketchUp use the Internet Explorer engine for the windows we can create with the Ruby API. The Internet Explorer engine is used by many application in similar way.
