[Tutorial] Silly Lizard

[Tutorial] Silly Lizard

Postby boofredlay » Fri Feb 11, 2011 5:12 am

After overwhelming requests (ok just one) I have put this tutorial together for the Silly Lizard.

I have learned some new things about subdivision modeling so this could be better however I am very pleased with my results, especially with the short amount of time this took to make. I spent maybe 2 hours on this prior to rendering.

Re: Quads

This post by Solo included a great video on the basics of subdivision modelling and explains a little why quads are better for subd modelling than other shapes. I found it very informative, anyway.

Man, when I get $40 saved up, I'm going to purchase this plugin!
I'm looking forward to creating characters for in-game use (Unity, UDK)

I did this eyeball tut for the fish but it works just fine for the alligator too, same technique.
