ViewBuild - challenging Sketchup

I saw this articleon CGArchitect a couple days ago about Viewbuild, a parametric design program similar to Sketchup. The owner makes a pretty bold claim in that article:

Sketchup is a rung below us in terms of our technology, which can do larger-scale buildings.

There is a free version that lets you save 3 projects and a Pro version costing $20 USD.

Has anybody tried it?

How do you get to download the free/demo version? Anyone managed?

Fill out the form and click "Access Download Now". The next page is a broken link but they email you a direct link to download the file.

I did download it but haven't played with it enough to tell if its any good.

He is Visualizing, Experiencing and Communicating.

so we all agree on their graphics choice

yes, agree that the choice in stock photo is a poor one.

and, they should get someone to clean the lens on their virtual camera in that render.


but, it does look interesting, and i'd test drive it.

i'd just worry that their software is as odd as their website... broken links, not much real information for design professionals, no compelling arguments on why i should learn another design suite, etc.
