Pilou: Merci, je suis content que tu as aime. Liam: I used Podium. That was one of their first version back in 2007 I believe. Although I am into Vray for Sketchup now, I really like Podium due to its awesome radiosity. I think it's available for Mac but not sure. check out their website for more info. Jeff: Thank you, I am glad you like my stuff. Take care, _KN

Dolf: Glad you like my fantasy and sci-fi threads. I will try to post some new images whenever I have time. Thank you. Roberto/Artysmedia: Anytime...bring you castle in the sky with the planes to fight my catapults! Anyway, here are some concepts for basement of the Coliseum. In case you wonder, it is not oval, indeed. The reason is that it is easier for modelers to build it with a perfect circle. But I kept the architecture of the interiors as close as I can to the real building if I have reference images, if not i came up with my own interpretation. Have a nice day! _KN

Nice modeling ken. But ancient architecture doesn't go like this. Angles on the roof are more wide. And they never hide sculpture there with another smaller roof in front, never a column in front of a door, things like these. Not so easy to learn.

Hi guys, Sorry for the late reply. to Michalis: Yes, I totally agree with you and I am well aware of these details as I used to be an architect before working as a concept artist. But doing stuff for games, we have to be creative and simplify some of the shapes or make them more interesting. Obviously, these models are not meant to replicate 100% some historical buildings. These are for a video game in a fantasy world after all. If you scroll up a little bit, you will see a concept for the Coliseum. That famous building is oval, but I had to do it circular as it is easier for modelers to build. If you did not point out these details, nobody would have noticed anyway. LOL I digged into my archive folder of Gods and Heroes and found some more concepts. Here they are. Most of them are 4 years old and I am not quite fond of them looking at them now. But at the time they were not bad I guess, especially when not many used Sketchup or even heard of it. Hercules Temple:

Some Roman buildins in Ostia:
Ok, as promised I have a personal project that I am currently working on. This is similar to the stuff that I am doing for my current company. I will post some more images. Thanks for visiting and have a terrific day! _KN
