Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishySomething Fishy
Bit of a twist to this one: your model must include the attached fish model (apologies in advance!) All the usual rules apply, and the fish must be recognisable in the submitted image. Closing time for entries is 7th February 6:00 PM GMT. Rules can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=291&t=16530 Have fun! Please, register (free) to access all the attachments on the forums.

Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyThe fish is only watertight without it's fins, so will it drown or swim?
not an entry BTW Please, register (free) to access all the attachments on the forums.
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something Fishy
That's because the fins are 'flat'- so push pull them a little and they should stay as part of the main manifold... Like this PS This is not an entry either... Please, register (free) to access all the attachments on the forums. TIG
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyAnother 'not an entry'.
SU crashed half way through and i though id lost the model, only to have it reappear next time i opened SU. Had forgotten how much time id spent on it by that point, though, so just kept going for the fun of it.
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyGood to sea their not only water tight, but can swim.
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyI AM THINKING REALLY HARD ON WHAT TO DO ON THIS ONE!

Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyWould someone be able to post up some rules/guidelines for these comps for a new member?
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyHi Lee,
Here are the "Rules" (in the Gallery > Competition subforum - just the competition itself ws made a global announcement): viewtopic.php?f=291&t=16530 @Remus - just for this reason, it would be good to post this link in the very first post of the "announcements". Gai...
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyVery good point gai (and thanks for reminding me leedeetee), didnt even cross my mind, as usually the thread is in the comp forum and only a thread or 2 away form the rules thread.
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyMany thanks.
So, just to clarify, for this particular competition, competitors can model ANYTHING they like in 30 minutes so long as they include the fish? And also; are competitors trusted to keep their own timekeeping and only model within the time limit? (I am trustworthy, honest!) Or is there a function within SU that times the amount of minutes spent on a particular model?! Thanks!
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyYep, you can model anything you like as long as it includes at least one fish.
Your trusted to keep your own time

Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyNice one kostas
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyThanks for the answers. And I presume it is just one entry per individual?
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyYou can upload up to 3 entries if you want to (i think it says 'as many as you want, but be sensible' in the rules, but going by the number of entries we've had recently i think 3 is a sensible limit.)
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something Fishy
Mo, you can enter as many as you want... Gai...
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something Fishy
Yeah. .. I 've stacked the deck a lot. .. . I still lose, but I've tried it. If I make it look easy. . .rest assured--it probably is.
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyI don't know whether to be Remus ' sensible'
Or..... Go with the Gaieus 'crazy' suggestion Although when I think about , if I follow Remus' advice I'll be only 1.5hrs closer to death yet...... If I follow Gaieus advice I'll be dead without ever gaining the 'Formerly known as Gold' Purple Challenge Winner Badge if you ask me it all smells a little fishy!
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyAfter reading my previous post it might sound( or read ) like i was being an a$$hole, but it was meant in jest. Hopefully no offence was caused and if so i offer my apolgies.
Anyway here's my entry, it's a 'Fishtank' PS - I just noticed that i couldn't upload multiple files, is this an error on my end or is this normal? I browsed to each file after clicking '+' but when i selected 'Upload' only one file uploaded? I'm using the latest Firefox with no script blocking addons enabled Please, register (free) to access all the attachments on the forums.
Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyCoen never got the multiple upload function to work.

Re: Speed Modelling Challenge #22 Something FishyI have to upload images one at a time, then place in line one at a time as well...
