Just gonna keep this thread going as starting a new one for every batch of renders is silly.. Below is a basic model from the Podium forum that a few guys were messing with while testing version 1.5 beta. The reason I post this was the fact that it rendered under 30 minutes with pretty decent detail, i did use 22% soft focus and added logo in post processing.

Very impressive, Podium seems to be coming along at an alarming rate.
Paul Russam English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark allies, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Nice one Solo, The thing I like especially is that you 'hard modeled' some tile bump here and there. In combo with a bump map on the tile texture, this becomes very realistic.
One little crit maybe: there isn't a lot of colour bouncing around on walls and ceiling (kind of flat gray). Did you consider using somewhat 'off' whites?
Cheers, Kwistenbiebel

Solo, Great work, this looks more realistic to me than a whole bunch of renderings that come out of high end products.

Thanks y'all. Biebel I noticed that but ignoed it, you have been hanging with those damned perfectionists at V-ray I see, as you notice all the little things Below is another version, notice the ceiling has a texture, bath is different and stainless steel has been replaced with Carrara marble.
* bath came from Form Fonts (excellent source for models)

I like the subdued highlights (specular) in the first image, it makes the floor tiles and the entire scene look very realistic.

That latest bathroom image is richer in terms of color (flatness on ceiling is gone). Great work and really nice texturing !!
I would die to own a VW van like that. They're very expensive here in Belgium. The strange thing is that you actually need to be quite a kapitalist to own such hippie wheels.

Thanks guys. This image was inspired by Kwistenbiebel's 'crack of dawn' render using V-ray. I was interested to see how Podium would handle the same kind of lighting.

That's amazing and very expressive. I still need to learn Poser for better character making. Great work.

By the way, is this official 1.4.1 Podium or internal beta ('carotene')? ( Doesn't that floor bump map need to be inverted?)
