Not Photoshop, but FREE Paint.net

Not Photoshop, but FREE Paint.net

Postby RegH » Sat Dec 08, 2007 5:04 am

Hey people!
I happened across this 2D software, and seems I recall trying it out over a year ago. Well, it appears to be getting better.
For those who may not have heard of it- just google up paint.net (a bad choice of a name, in my opinion).
I've only spent a couple hours with it, but it sure looks nice.
No- I am not affiliated with the author.. etc.

The url to the product is http://www.getpaint.net/

I downloaded and have been playing with it for the last couple of hours. Looks pretty good.

Small update....
I loaded a typical scanned image with damaged background. The first tool I wanted was the SMUDGE. NOT THERE!
Oh well- I'll try the AIRBRUSH...
YUP- NOT THERE!
Looks like I was a little hasty.. I did some poking around in the forums and it looks like those two tools are still a long way off.
DAMMM!!

Oh well- still not too bad for gratis. I'll keep checking the plugins.

Hi All
Here are a pile of plugins for Paint.net

Requires Win XP or better for most.

Hey Ross,

Everytime I look at your Avatar I think I'm looking at my mut, Jock. I'd say he's a big as your Westie now and quite a handfull but good fun to have around.

Sorry guys for jumping in with an oddity, Paint. Net looks to be a good program but only Win
