[Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)Descrtiption: This script selects all lines of a specified length.
Usage: You can start with a single line selected and this tool will select all other edges in the model of the same length. OR you can have nothing selected and it will prompt you to supply a length. The length is automatically in the default model units or you can specify ( 12", 2', 10cm, 110mm, etc). v1.1 - Changed where it loads itself. Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by LengthNice script Chris, That'll hepl me a lot.
Thanks.
Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by LengthI also coded something similar this night reusing the code form "Select all with same orientation" (SAWSO) It's should be simple to integrate the functionality to select more than one line, Chris.
azuby error initus :: Blocks | CurrentDate | d/Code | extensionmanager | FFlipper | HideEdges | MeasuredArea | ModelHistory* | PluginsHelp | PronButton | SAWSO | SCP | SU²CATT
Bad English? PM me, correct me.
Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by LengthTrue, it wouldn't be that much more code to make it so it allowed for multiple starting lines being selected. Just a single line was the request, but if multiple lines is desired, I could expand it.

Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by LengthTricky
Maybe that be possible to choose something like this 13 <= length < 20 ?

Thank you. It should save me a lot of clicks in the future.
Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)It's a pity that works not for a line "grouped" or a line "component"!
Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)If I want all lines of a selection? (not the faces ! )
Can you add something for that? ![]()

Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)Thx I had another one by Matt666
Selection manager I will try yours also! ![]() Yours seems more cozy! Even it's a toy! Adopted! But if Chris can make something like ">length wished" that will be terrific! Like >0 or >0 & < 12
Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)I might not get to it right away, but adding a selection length range would be easy enoug to do. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)Chris,
Would it be possible to also have a script that would select faces all of the same surface area? A designer is an emerging synthesis of artist, inventor, mechanic, objective economist and evolutionary strategist. - R. Buckminster Fuller

Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)Yeah, thats a good idea. I'll see if I can get that implemented. I have 2 others also in progress right now. Hopefully I'll get a chance to finish some of these up today. Thanks for the suggestion,

Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)Very good plugin. Is possible to make plugin work only in selection?
Re: [Plugin] Select Lines by Length (Updated March 9th, 2009)I suppose I could. The idea would be to select geometry first, then run the plugin and then when you click, lines only get added if you have cliked on something that is selected? Is that what you mean?
