Axis setting retain and re-use

Postby rhankc » Wed Nov 28, 2007 7:12 am

I am working on a building that has a 45 degree section, I have to reset the axes as I work my way around. Each time there is the pick red, green etc.

Is there a ruby or setting that will save an axes setting and allow you to toggle between normal and angled, without doing the axis tool each time?

Not that I am aware of but that is a great idea.

You can save your axis settings with Scenes...if you only want to save an axis, in the scene manager for that Scene leave only that option checked.

Glad to help. I also have an axis-only scene built into my default SU template...it resets the axis to its start/default location, which is usually quicker than right-clicking on the axis and choosing "Reset" from the options.

I should be thinking of scenes + templates more. I always find things out "on the fly" but there must be some common feature(s) which I always use...
