Model Placement

Postby MM3000 » Sat May 26, 2012 3:36 pm

Hello,

I am new to sketch Up and I was wondering when making a building, is there anyway of accurately placing objects.

.E.G. I have created a 15M wall, is there a way of placing say a bench 2.8M from start point of the wall.

Any help would be much appreciated :D

Thanks

Probably the easiest way would be to use the Tape Measure tool to set out guidelines to determine where you want the bench. Think of them as akin to chalk lines. Then move the bench to the intersections of the guides. Make sure to grab the bench with the Move tool at the corner that you want to have located at the intersection of the guides.
Inspecting mirrors is a job I could easily see myself doing.

You're quite welcome. Make friends with that tool and the Edit>Delete Guides tool as well.
