SQL ERROR

Occasionally, for maybe the last couple of months, whenever I try to get on the forums, I've been getting this msg:

Sometimes it lasts half and hour or so, more often several hours. It affects only SketchUcation, I can open any other site with no problem. It's frustrating, and it seems to be happening more and more frequently as time goes by.

Anybody else experiencing this problem, and is there anything I can do about it?

I have gotten it a few times, I agree it's frustrating. The admins here will have to take a look to see what is happening.

Yes, I experienced it on and off for several days, but chalked it up to something my ancient machine was doing-- that's how well informed I am on web stuff.
I got two different SQL errors. One was the too many connects and the other, I emailed an image to Gaieus, since it said to do so if the problem persists.

Yes, I also saw it yesterday (and the day before). Sorry guys, if you do not wish to receive some canned responses, I will not answer each email (currently my inbox is kind of overwhelmed) one by one (although certainly appreciate the concern)


Let's hope Tavi could fix it and we won't have this too often in the future.

I just had this myself for the first time (Noon GMT Saturday) so it's obviously an ongoing problem.

Me too. It lasted more than a hour, as I could estimate.

This time I did not wait the 3 or so minutes for the SQL page to show. I just put in an alternate website url, browsed awhile then reloaded SketchUcation url. Again, in my case, the machine I use is elderly and ailing. My new box is still in the box, while I find a significant chunk of time to set it up and figure out how I will migrate essential apps and files from XP to W7.

It wasn't your old machine - I got it too. At least it was not long this time.

Getting more of these the past few days, sometimes lasting for hours and hours. Nobody really explained just what causes these errors.

because I am still investigating what is causing this errors. a lot of apache processes stop in D state and everything come to a halt.
