How to make a sheet of paper?

Postby kiro7shiro » Mon May 07, 2012 11:13 am

Hello everybody,

is there a way to simulate a sheet of paper in sketchyphysics?

My goal is to make a model of a printers sheet feeder.

Does anyone got an idea of how to solve that?

Many thanks

Do you mean to simply model the sheet or give it bending capabilities? If bending, then you would probably apply numerous "hinges" to the object at certain intervals. It seems you would need to give the paper some thickness, perhaps 1mm- whatever the program can tolerate.
I am merely guessing, here, based on what I have read in the FAQs, etc.
I take the slow, deliberate approach in my aimless wandering.

I had the same idea. But unfortunatly without much sucess.

Now I have expanded my idea because I would like to create an arbitrarily large piece of paper.
I imagine a script that works like this:

1. Creating a surface.

2. Indication of the subdivisions.

3. Connect Parts in one or more directions.

4. Indication of the flexibility of the individual parts. 1 ° to 360 °
