I don't know whether there is a name for that in ArchViz/Architecture, and perhaps it is a very lame question, but what is like a good approach when I just want to have something like a "Hiding the horizon green wall of vegetation"?
I mean you have your model, surfaces with grass and ways, a sky and then I simply want decent looking vegetation that hides the horizon. Just using Skatter's trees this doesn't work, but I don't know, well, what's the best way to do it (render-friendly) and which models to buy/get to make this look good.
I'm more or less talking about such a situation. On almost every image Villa Savoye looks like there was some kind of forest, forest was taken away, villa built and now the trees in the background look like random nature that has never seen a landscape gardener.
Can someone perhaps be so kindly to tell me what is like the best way to get such a covert/understory 'background'?

Re: Horizon Hiding Green Wall of Underwood/Understory VegetaI may be wrong with the terms, but I think they are referred to as "billboards" generally but also sometimes as "tree lines".
You can find some here in the sketchUcation shop: http://sketchucation.com/shop/models/la ... e-lines-v2 http://sketchucation.com/shop/models/la ... tree-lines http://sketchucation.com/shop/models/la ... e-lines-v1 Save the Earth, it's the only planet with chocolate.
Re: Horizon Hiding Green Wall of Underwood/Understory VegetaThose images are nice, but I want to render real models. Now when I e.g. use all birches Thea comes with and all bushes that come with Skatter, I get something like this. But what what do I need to change here to get a proper tree line??
Re: Horizon Hiding Green Wall of Underwood/Understory VegetaI would say you need to add depth to the treeline, variation in heights and sizes of trees and bushes, play with some density there. Remember it must facilitate the function you want and does not necessarily need to be "real world" as you need it to form a backdrop and obscure horizon line and sight through.

Re: Horizon Hiding Green Wall of Underwood/Understory VegetaOkay, I am just so lame when it comes to Mother Nature. Thank you...
