[Plugin] $ Copy Brick (Updated 5/04/11)

Re: [Plugin] Copy (Brick)

Postby Ken » Sun Aug 01, 2010 11:52 pm

This program shut my Sketchup down without a error. Stops every time I pick the icon.

However, thanks for the plugin, I know you will get it working.

Sahi, thanks again...
I was trying your plugin... and discover a new issue.. but this one is very important
I put 60º in the protractor but the result is 59,38º for example.
issue.jpg

If I put 30º the result is similar, but not 30°.
Perhaps the problem is with my units... I attach a .skp file.

The domain names in Argentina are .com.ar
And the 8 will be changed for ∞ using the future SU 9.0 technology:

Hi Sahi / Guys,

Just downloaded the plugin and I'm VERY VERY impressed but I have a question as a mac user with an apple full size USB keyboard.

The arrow keys work fine for rotation and scale and the ctrl key works fine for the mirror on (red?) axis but my keyboard doesn't have the second functions shown on the numeric keypad (home etc) so I can't seem to mirror along the other two axis.

Sorry if this has already been explained earlier in the post or if I'm just being a bit dim and don't know how to use an apple keyboard properly!

Hope someone can help.

Cheers

Hi Sahi,

Fast comeback!

Just downloaded the "brick 9" update and now the ctrl key does nothing. Was that the plan?

The mirror buttons at the top of the screen work but the object goes off screen during the mirror process so it is not as intuitive to use and not as obvious to see what what is happening to the object during the mirror.

Using the keyboard shortcut (even though I could only get one working) was much easier to get the desired result.

Cheers

Sorry - I don't understand your last response.

What I was originally trying to say was the keyboard shortcuts shown on your keyboard picture for "home" and "end" don't appear on an apple keyboard and I can't / don't know how to re-map the shortcut for those commands within your plugin in preferences/shortcuts.

Cheers

Hi Sahi,

Thanks or your patience.

I can get to the shortcut menu like you show but I can't locate your plugin tools in the "function" list. The only item listed is to view the Brick pallett. Thats my problem.

Is one ever satisfied?

Your mirror does mirror, however this to me is more like a "flip", an actual mirror should also be able to copy the selection.

So would that be possible? And if not, I will be pleased that so many people take the time to add improvement to Sketchup and their plugins.

Again, thank you

First off, thank you for the script and for sharing.

Second, I cannot get the mirror function to work. Any suggestions?

Third, can this work on SU 6?

Thanks. Ben

Why doesn't this plug-in download as a .rb file?

It downloads as a .rbs file and does not seem to open or operate properly?

Thanks

It's an encrypted rb file. The author may not wish to reveal the code. It works just like a simple rb file however.
