Is it ma by because I am using 64bit pc??? Hope someone can help Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Does it happen with all tools?
Does it happen before, while or after you did the drawing? Any other 64-bits Windows user having the same problem?
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)I'm on 64bit Vista and I use the script with no problems.

Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Thanks Fredo...
Your tools are really big help for me when making furniture models ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks ![]()
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Hi Fredo
I was late finding this thread and didn't know about this ruby. Awesome! Thanks. Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)At the moment, I am struggling around all the bugs that the Sketchup API has on Mac.
So unless I release just for Windows....
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)I would be happy with that
![]() great to hear, that you are still on it Fredo. I am looking forward to the new release Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)As a hint, it will be 27 working days before the release of SU7
![]() ![]() ![]()
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)And then you can start re-writing the whole script for compatibility issues
![]() Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)
Big call Fredo!!!!! purpose/expression/purpose/....
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Coen,
You can testify that my NDA with big G is as thin as a face in a Sketchup model, that is, I have absolutely no knowledge whatsoever of what is going on and did not sign anything by the way. I am working on ToolsOnSurface, but actually wanted to clean up and structure a little bit the script so that it is easier to write additional functionality. Part of it was using Web dialog, to avoid the Function keys, another part was to manage the releasing, the proliferation of icons and having a cleaner shared libraries. It just happened that on my way, I had this problem with Web Dialog on Mac, for which I hope to get some help from big G. Anyway, as an additional hint, let's say that it will be on a Thursday. Fredo
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Hey, the toolbar not appears.
What happend? The icons.. not work, there aren´t buttons, I just search on Ruby Console... I WANT A SOLUTION!!!!!!! Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)"you need to activate the script via the menu Windows->Preferences->Extension."
Daniel S Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Hi Peeps,
Do I have to delete the old toolbar icons first before I drop the new incons done by Cadfather into the TOS dir? Thanks, Jeff Have I mentioned how much of a laugh I get out of some of the Signatures on here!
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)
Fredo I find your script a real Sketchup improvement, thank you for developing it! It's really interesting the construction line circle. It reminds me a suggestion I've had some time ago http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=3610 The possibility to take a real construction circle you can refernece on it to draw with accurance. For example, now in sketchup I can't draw an arc with given radius tangent to two circles; I can't draw a circle (with a random point center) tangent to another existing one. Would Such as request be possible to seen developed in your script, sooner or later? Or it's something Sketchup cant support? Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)This is possible, and actually only On Surface in the general case (otherwise you need the 2 tangents to be in the same plane).
Will think about it, as this may simply be an adaptation of the Arc tool. The only issue is that I don't have much time to be very active on my scripts at the moment, so it may take a while. The alternative is that someone writes a dedicated script for that specific function. Fredo
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Hello,
I am new here. My name is Filip. Nice to meet you. I wonder if this plugin works with Sketchup 7? I unzipping but no Tos-Dir-13 directory is created. Why? Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)
The script should work in SU7. For your problem, be careful in Winzip to do a SELECT ALL, and then an EXTRACT in the Sketchup Plugins directory, in order to have Winzip to recreate the folder structure. Fredo
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Hi,
Thanks.I was using bed unzip program. I unpacked it by winzim now and structure of files is ok but still dont have this plugin in sketchup. Any idea? Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Hi Qpernick and welcome.
You should activate the toolbar (Surface operations or what) fro the View > Toolbars menu (somewhere at the bottom). Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Hi. No, becouse I couldnt find this there.??
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Thanks. I just did it that way. It works very well now. Very nice plugin.
Re: [Plugin] Tools On Surface - v1.3 (more shapes, inference)Ah yeah, that also. Sorry, I didn't remember.
I need HelppppOk OK, I was using some time tos and in deed it is great.. it is just lately it doesnt work on my SU....
mainly offset is just doing annoying beep and thats all, no offset ni nada... Please help me with that, ![]() Re: I need Helpppp
Could you turn on the Ruby Console and advise on any error message you would see (best would be to copy them and post the result on the forum). By the way, which version of SU do you use, and on which OS? And what did you do 'lately' with SU (upgrade?). Thanks Fred
