Thank you for your plugin. Between all of you (plugin´s developers) are going to do of sketchup a software as good or even better than softwares like rhinoceros.
cheers

Thomas!
Mate I played around with the plugin for a tree trunk in combination with fredoscale and I ended up with a mass of assigned materials (all the same) when exported to maxwell. I noted this before with Whaat's UV tools (cant remember the name of the plugin).
Funny though it was only for several faces - I'll have to test some more and see what went on there!

I'm not entirely sure, but I'm guessing the Maxwell exporter exported out a texture for each face with a distorted texture.

Does this still work with SU8 on windows? The plugin doesn't start, no menu is created.

Hi pdwyer, I don't have SU 8 so I cannot test it. Anyway the plugin only appears in the context menu so right click on a texture-->UV tools.

It's attached to the first post with a
icon. Generally this is the way authors publish and keep their plugins updated here so always look in the first post.

I have a problem using UVTools. I am new to UV texturing. My current project is a sketchup version of Spaceship Earth from EPCOT. The link to the sketchup file is below. I need to know how to get the texture located in front of the sphere to wrap around the sphere. Please give me a tutorial as I would like to know how to do this in the future. Any help would be appreciated as I tried looking through this post but Sketchup kept crashing everytime I tried to do it. Eric http://www.ejlmusic.com/sketchup/Spaceship Earth Final 12C.skp Thanks in advance (would love a youtube video tutorial if anyone has time...it would help us noobs out immensely)

I don't understand how to use the plugin. I installed it,I get the new context menu. I create a cylynder/sphere, then... what? I create a wall close to it, apply a texture to the wall and use the UV right menu on it? Nothing happens.

Why would you install a plugin if you don't know what it is...? Take a look at some of the posts on page 1 and 2... There's a good tutorial by Alan Fraser...
Try applying a bitmap texture to a sphere or a cylinder... It's important that it's not just a color but a bitmap texture... You'll see that the texture looks odd on such shapes... Now click the sphere to select it... Right-click it an from the submenu select UV tools and then select i.e. spherical... You'll see that the texture looks correct now...
Cheers Kim Frederik

Hi All, Since I use Artisan, I have the need to improve my uv-texturing skills I want to use the UV-Tools plugin but I don´t get it to run on SketchUp 2013 - I´m certainly doing anything wrong. The only footprint is the "UVtools.rb"-file (?) but inside SketchUp I dont´t get any icons or any context menu I appreciate any help

I use SketchUV and Roadkill, and it works great. WrapR is in development and it will make unwraping inside SU.
