You should get an email shortly with your login detail on TT's site (register with the same email address you have paid with). Then there is a download link.

As Gaieus said, you should have received an email to the address you use with PayPal. The system automatically sends this email after a purchase. Make sure you check your spam filter and ensure that email from thomthom.net is white-listed. You can have the system re-send your login details at any time from this page: http://www.thomthom.net/software/vertex_tools/forgotten

thomthom wrote:Yes - that is in fact on my todo list for a future release. :)

I'm modelling it after how 3D Studio do soft selection. From what I can tell it is a bezier curve controlled by two paramters, Pinch and Bubble.

Another awesome tool thomthom. I'll post some examples when I've finished my current WIP.

wrt soft selection, would it be possible to incorporate a negative radius? that would soften the vertices only by the vertices selected rather than a soften by vertices surrounding the current selection? I ask this because there are certain vertices on the edges of my mesh that I don't want to move, but its hard to get a good soft sine wave from a selection that doesn't affect some of the vertices on this edge.

thanks again.

Very good idea.
(A wee technical challenge of doing this, but I do like the idea! I'll add it to the list of experiments) :thumb: :thumb:

ThomThom, thanks for this great plugin. Just installed and saving me loads of usually fiddly workaround editing.

No - it uses the OS default HTML render engine, which means IE on windows and WebKit on OSX. Many applications makes use of the IE render engine (note - not the browser itself, just it's core) so it's always worth keeping IE up to date, even if you don't use it as your browser.

okiedokie. I generally do that even though ie is just my emergency backup browser and rarely gets opened. I think I declined the beta version update but I know I had 8 on here.

Can you explain what you mean by this? "Delete non-destructive" - it's an oxymoron - how can you delete something without being destructive?

Oh, could it be, erase vertices between co-linear edges, without erasing the edges? If so, that is a feature in the upcoming version 1.1.

When you do, please post back some examples. I'd love to see some.
In the upcoming releases, not just v1.1, I got plans to make it easier and quicker to control the vertices. In addition to soft selection where the falloff is controlled by bezier curve - like 3ds max.

Vertex Tools 1.1 BETA has just been unleashed for the guinea pigs! After they've spun it around in their wheels and broken it sufficiently and I get the website and documentation updates there will soon be a release party! :D

Coming soon to a computer near you! ;)

No - because it's not released yet. It was just a heads up that it's finally in beta and due to release shortly.

Hugely grateful for all the time you put in bro. You've definitely enhanced my 3D experiences with all your plugins. The gizmo looks great and can only make a perfect thing better.

Bezier Surface is part of the whole family of mesh control tools Thomthom is developing. So I imagine if Vertex Tools is out of the pipeline then it makes room for him to concentrate on this a bit more. Well, here's hoping

Rich is correct - Bezier Surface is my second brain child. Once Vt1.1 is out I can port the gizmo back to Bezier Surface and that will make up for bit part of the development. The gizmo has been blocking many of my projects because it's been so complex to make right.
