1. VISMAT: When importing vismat file in a material (example stainless steel)
it cause SU to crash. Which is i didnt find in 1.6 beta
2. VRAY DOME LIGHT: After placing vray doom light in my scene, Load the hdri and adjust settings then render - after that, I wanted to apply some changes to my vray dome light.
When editing vray domelight the settings (Vray for Sketchup - Edit light) wont appear.
I see this problems too.
And when I add a new component with some external materils, the new materials didn't appear in the materials tab of the vray. Even if I close the model and opena again, they don't appear.
Form-Z, SketchUp Pro, MoI 3D, Cinema 4D, Vray, Thea Render, Maxwell Studio, Photoshop
Same problems here as well.
Also when I put a grass proxy into a model that was rendering perfectly before, now nothing in the scene renders except for the grass proxy and the hdri background - it might be something in my settings but I'm bamboozled.
just make sure you submit bug reports about this stuff. SketchUcation.com is not our bug tracker, if stuff isn't in our tracker, we don't see it and it doesn't get fixed.
Thank you again sir Kendig. I have already submited this bug report to chaos group.
i send a report about those bigs a couple of weeks ago and still no answers...
and also about the fact that once you setup a dome light you cant edit it
We don't respond to all bug reports necessarily. Only if we need additional information, much like sending a bugsplat off to Trimble, or a crash report off to Apple or Microsoft. Due to the volume of reports, and the level of technical knowledge required to give a productive response, we just can't respond to reports very frequently. We thank you for your feedback, and I can assure you it was not lost in the system. We link related cases together, and your report was likely closed with the other cases related to it.
The dome light editing issue was addressed in this release, as were the other issues mentioned in this thread. If you check the changelog of our current 2.0 public release (it's out of beta now) you should see those issues noted as being resolved.
