Sketchup black screen problem Please Help

My su often turns into black screen while modeling, i can solve the problem by turning off the hardware acceleration in openGL option but this will greatly slower the speed of my su..... my display card is gtforce gt540m and i have updated the driver into the latest version.. is there any way i can get raid of the black screen problem without turning off the opengl?? thx

Do you have a notebook with optimus? If so try to left click the sketchup.exe and choose execute with high performance video card, also try to open the control panel and the Nvidia Control panel, in Manage 3d settings/program settings/Add, find sketchup.exe and choose the High Performance Nvidia processor.

This can indeed be a problem. These newer laptops come with an integrated video chipset ( ) and a dedicated card but you have to manually set either the global preferences or certain apps to use the "real" one.

My system is in Hungarian but I hope the screenshots in this post hopefully help.
