Copy Command

Is it possible to create a direct copy command rather than
using CTRL + MOVE?

there's the more typical copy/paste..

edit -> copy (ctrl C)
edit -> paste (ctrl V)

you can also paste in place .. edit -> paste in place ... which will let you copy items from one SU window and paste it in the same exact place in another window.

or select some geometry you'd like to keep, then ctrl C, then delete everything you want gone.. paste in place and the stuff you want returns to it's proper place.

[i think the menu is called 'edit' on PC.. if not. ?]

Hello Jeff
Thanks for the tip.
I already use CTRL+C for copying and Paste In Place very often.
But I will now use the standard Windows CTRL+C and CTRL+V within
one SU model instaed of the standard CTRL+MOVE command.
The only disadvantage is that unlike in say AutoCAD Architecture, there are no commands such as Copy with base point etc.
Kind Regards
Syd

Copy with Move+Ctrl has functions above the Edit>Copy etc
You can Copy with a base point by picking a start using inferencing and then typing in an offset, using axis locking (shift) etc etc. You can also multi-copy as an array using NNx or NN/ after making the first copy to set the number made after/between.
Similarly Rotate+Ctrl make copies about a centre and again NNx or NN/ sets the number of copies after/between
